Party at Tim's place. One great reunion. Facebook if you have, you should have been invited, this note refers to the 5A07 people. Haha. Dead blog but then again there are once in a lifetime times that there's something to post here. Haha. So now the venue is Tim's place right around Jalan Seladah. No FOC food. The budget now seems a little pricey at 70-80 bucks. This includes drinks n all. But will try to separated alcoholics form the non and revise a budget that would suit everyone's likng. Like slicing it in half or more. Haha. Wait till Tim sees this.

Prawn Bruschetta (Steamed shrimps, Cheese, thousand island and tomatoes on a piece of toasted French loaf) with mushroom soup. (2 bruschettas each)

Main Course:
-Creamy Chicken Fetuccine Carbonara
-Barbeque Grilled Kebab (Cherry tomatoes, Capsicum, Onion, Chicken and Lamb [peppered based seasoning] on a stick) (2 each)

Your beloved author is still in Universiti Teknologi Petronas . Has been there for a year and a half now with three and a half more years to go. Kerry is currently my coursemate and we're both stuck there doing Civil Engineering. Our university is in Tronoh Perak if anyone's wondering.

There was a small group in Taylors which consisted of Jason, Marcellus, Timothy, Sheldon, Anggum and Chester. Jason Marcel and Tim were doing a-levels . They have just finished and are moving on to further their studies in the field of medicine. Where they are going I'm not too sure so not sharing yet. :) Sheldon finished his SAM last December and is now in Australia but I forgot which place and what he's doing. Haha. Sorry shel. :) Chester and Anggum are still in Taylors doing SAM. Anggum will further continue to law under JPA.

Samuel Wong is in Penang doing pre-med. Not for long though. He's turning Russian.

Dylan Alvin and Melvin are in Curtin. Dylan's doing business and Alvin is doing mechanical Engineering. Melvin has finally made it out of foundation and will do his undergraduate studies in the field of Chemical Engineering under Petronas.

Sze Hwang is in Kolej Bangsar Utama. Preparations for Architecture under JPA. Not too sure how long more he'll stay there.

Ee Rong is now in HELP University , Damansara . Next year he'll move to UK to do law. Another JPA scholar.

Brendan was at Taylors too for a very very short while. Then he moved to Canada. Not sure what Brendan is doing now. Forgot to ask.

Alvin Tan and Damien are doing accountancy . Damien is studying at FTMS, Kuching. Alvin Tan is studying in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kampar, Perak. 40 mins away from my place.

Ronald is doing nursing in Australia.

Ahmad Junaidi is in UiTM Shah Alam .Forgot the tiny detail on what he is doing.

Gabriel, the Indian doctor i think is still waiting to visit the bulls in India .

So who has been waiting for this post since....since the Sematan trip?? Haha. Haven't had the time and mood to post this thing up. At least the pictures cause it's kinda hard to recall the series of events from then till now. Anyways it was fun and exciting. The beach was nice and we had fun. Sorry haven't uploaded anything into the blog. I even forgot there was a 5A blog. Visit more often.. Although not sure what else is there to post. Haha. So I went to check on our class facebook today and I gathered some info. Haha. The trip would be to Sematan. I guess everyone knows that. From what I can see the date of the trip has been shifted to 19-21 December as more people can make it on this date. Then I also read something bout a Palm Beach Resort. Owh yeah i think transportation is not the usual bus but some of us driving. I know Jason is driving. Sam most probably too. Then besides that maybe Tim. The rest not too sure. Well this is what I got so far. For those who can go just state it in the c-box. If u have stated please restate. I'll come up with the attendance chart soon enough. :)

Annual class trip!!

Two years ago we had two class trips, one at the end of each year. Times pass but I guess we're all still good friends. So most of us feel that way too and some have suggested SEMATAN!!! Well that's what I got off facebook. Been asked to post this up but haven't really had anytime to post. Since today I just got back to Kuching, today I'll post it up then.

So from the numerous posts on facebook, I came to the conclusion that many agreed on going to sematan. Well thats just the place. There's a problem of date and time and budget and activities. To kick off people should start crapping in the chat box bout when to go how much to spend and what to do :)

Starting a new semester with a hell bunch of things in hand to do isseriously much more fun then taking care of the class blog using slow speed internet. Hence, I sometimes forget that there is class blogs. Since coming back to utp, my nights have been filled with chinese orchestra practices until last nite. Got too bored of studyin physics so i'm here. Went to check the analytics and surprised to see that there's still 110 visits this week.Maybe it is 3 times less than what we have but at least there are still visitors. Th e cbox however is still a great hit. Even names which have never been seen on the cbox is in, sam wong. nEWS FROM CBOX: MADUZ RUNNING FOR SOME ELECTION AND HAS A TEST. MARZ MOVING OUT OF HIS OLD APARTMENT. haha. Oh yeah and there's rm3.5 in the class blog nuffnang account. With 688 in the past 4 weeks I dare say we are very much still acitve. In case anyone has forgotten that we have a poll, here's the results.

So where are we going to go from here?? The poll wasn't a big hit i guess but the results are still the results. Since there is only two votes for one author, three votes for two authors and fourteen for limitless authors, limitless authors clearly win. But then we cannot have limitless authors. It would spell chaos. This is how it's going to work then. Let's say someone has something to post , something relevant to the class blog or something like a post on your uni, colege and stuff like that, then just post in the c-box your email for your blogger acc. Then temporary author status will granted for a day or two until you have finished posting the author status will be revoked.

Could it be so true the rumors I have heard? Speculation of what could be the proudest achievements of our post 5A periods?? I'm not talking about scholarships or rescuing a kitten from a tree!! I'm talking bout this guy:

Benjamin Lau Ik Siang. The guy who used to be quite quiet in class by 5A standards though. Now he is studying in Form 6 and of the few guy prefects, the most I've heard of possibly being the head prefect of St. Joseph school. A head prefect from 5A 07 would be cool. It's like monkey of yesterday, head prefect of today. Way to o Ben. We hope you get it ;)

Going out with a few friends today, a question concerning our blog came up. How many people should have access to posting on this blog??Should it just be me and marcel??? Or should more people have access to this blog?? Well I guess limiting the number of authors to this blog is a big factor! With too many people being able to post in this blog then there will be a conflict of interest. What type of things to post. Who will post about what. And even then, there will be a possibility of having two of the same posts on one subject. So what should we have?? Stick with the two authors or have more?? Since it is after all a class blog, I have decided to have a poll for this matter in the sidebar. Do vote since it is a class affair. Results will be shown in a week or so ;)

Our first decade!!!

Yeah baby!!! This blog is not even two weeks old and we have reached our first decade. When I say decade I mean that we have ten posts. This is post number eleven!!! Time to recall, time to stop what you're doing, think for minute about what did we achieve with this blog. Yeah, what did we achieve with this blog??

1. I guess the first thing is we help many people fill up their holiday break with something meaningful on the net rather than just everyone coming on the net with a mission to kill time and end up doing nothing but playing pointless online games, going through friendster profiles of pretty girls and such.

2.The blog has successfully spread the word on what we 5A claim as our biggest event in 6 months, THE REUNION. We got twenty two people to show up. I know its like half the class but its not easy to get 22 people. We've done it through this blog saving so much more on the telephone bills. Digi, Maxis and Celcom might be pissed but our pockets are happy ;)

3.This blog has also proven that we still care about our bond through the class. We have until today the highest views in a week, 224 visits with 143 visits. 10 or 20 people can't do that. Obviously we have friends that come visit our blog. Yes, there are only a few people chatting in the c-box but hey , stats don't lie.

4.Give us a hope of a united future or rather a contactable future. The way I see it, so many have been visiting this blog this week itself. Ok maybe it won't be such a big hit in a few weeks to come but then, I'm sure many will still pop in once in awhile. That is how we will stay connected. Keeping in touch through email addresses or some sort of contact detail that will be placed in this blog later on.

Awesome Dinner 28/06/08-The Review

Wah liew.... No words to describe it. It would be on of the day we would remember! 5A 07 still rocks on. Even though only 21 people attended the party. It was still a blast. Some people doubted us that it would happen, but it became a reality. Thank God. =0

First few arrived early, before 7.15pm. Some were playing cards to kill their time.

Friends started to pour in as the clock struck 7.30pm. (church ended mah). Friends wearing their best to the party. Eating yummy, savoury foods like grilled lamb, fish n chips, lamb shank, chicken something. Lol. Filling empty roaring tummies. Last food to come, fastest to finish the food was Bren. Kasihan him....

Got lots of catching up to do. After some not seeing each other for 6 months. It seems like a long time.

The night was still young. We wouldnt just end the night with just dinner. We still rocked on. But wait a minute. Bang.... Someone gt into an accident. Luckily it was just a minor scratch. Phew.... That was close. No one saw that. Ahem..... You know what i mean, esp who went.Nevermind that. Naik kereta..tekan minyak ooo.... Vroomm.... Jalan-jalan!

Off to Link, The hippest bar in Kuching. On top of the Kuching tower. It was nice. With loud music, cosy sofas, atmosphere was dull though..... then, complications were on their way to spoil the night. Damn.... My friends car got stop by a police for not displaying the "P" on his car.

Next, Victoria Arms! Shoott! No.... stupid entrance fee of rm25 ruined the whole thing. Who would wanna pay that large sum of money just to have a sip of beer or soft drink- most of us dont drink. Arent we angels. Lol. What a waste of petrol. Wish petrol was as cheap as water.

Open air. The coolest cheapest place to go. In the heart of all kuchingites. Eat supper! Soya bean, noh mi teng and ABC. We said our goodbyes, sayonara....Of to sleep... ZZZzzzzzzzz.......

One night for the record books!!!

A night filled with anticipation and high expectations. The 5A 2007 Class Reunion did not disappoint. Having 21 ex-classmates being expected to turn up at Exza's 22 showed up. Many ate like there was no tomorrow and the after party was itself an eventfully twisted account.

The Dinner

Surprisingly tonight everyone was well quite punctual. Give or take ten minutes from 7.30pm . Like any usual hungry guys at a dinner, we stormed the place and made the waiter work for his money. Grilled lamb, fish and chips, soup, lemonade, pina colada, mushroom soup,etc... we ordered virtually everything on the menu. Everyone had a great chat, a good time, lots of laugh and more importantly a lot of catching up.

The only down side to the dinner was the wait for food to arrive. The grilled fish and chicken caesar salad ordered much much earlier never came until the management were bugged many many times. At the end of the dinner we had a long chat with a few monkeys trying to balance themselves around a pond and then a hard time getting everyone to behave for the photo session. All in all it was a great dinner.

When it was time to go... the drivers were busy identifying their passengers.

The After-party

Eat eat eat and then leave??Obviously that's not a very nice way of ending a great reunion. We are in post form five period. Just eating and then going back home is just a usual form five thing. So there we were refusing to let the night die young. Links?? Senso?? Victoria Arms?? Links it was. So a few drivers agreed to go Links for a drink. Links is at Civic Centre by the way. So here comes the first hickup of the night. Someone gets pulled over by the cops for not having a 'P' sticker on the car. Since there are cops there lets go Victoria Arms in Merdeka Palace. On the way to Vic Arms someone then has a small 'accident'. :) The at the entrance of Victoria Arms, there is a check for Ic. We got pass that but then there i a cover fee of RM25. Many disagreed to go . Here comes the twist. Why not go open air?? Haha. From Links to Victoria arms down to open air. From cocktails to soy bean milk. Police blocks, IC checks, and the turn of evets has certainly given us the full package, completing the night like how we would have never imagined it to be. At least now the night will be a rememberable one. :)

Bang!! The reunion is near. Now we have twenty one guests. It could be twenty two as Andre has not confirmed. Then again we have discovered that our beloved James Chen is back here in Kuching. Hmmm.... Could it be a lucky 22 or 23?? Which is it?? Well you won't know till you're at the reunion!! Get dressed. Iron your shirt. Wash your pants. Try your new underwear cause there's only one day left to the biggest event for 5A in six months!! Oh yeah, It's also like a one day more to me running out of things to really crap. Haha. Anyways, be prepared for THE REUNION!!!

Reason for not coming:
1.Will be elsewhere studying
2. Having a family dinner with relatives.
3.Leaving next day, grandma insists on having dinner with me.
4.Bo lui, pok kai ma.
5. Exza too expensive.
6. Need to study.
7.Only back the next day

Come on people. Cut the bull and come. How many times a year can you meet so many of your old class mates all at once??

Hermm...as i recall it has been quite awhile since the B class and the A class had some rivalry. Whether it was with the cleanliness campaign or the school sports day, there has always been a rivalry. Going head to head all the time, I guess its still the same up till today. Today we have the first visitor from 5B 2007, one which is still studying in school, lower six, MICHAEL KON, or better yet seen in our c-box as maikaru. Well , battle of the blogs is somewhat over extreme, but sure in any ways, surely the 5A blog is much better. HAHA :p

Thre days ago I keep on hearing mews about the ever so great 5A reunion dinner. But now checking the blog and seeing the reunion post, I started thinking to myself , is there going to be a reunion or just the usual 5 to 6 people hanging out having dinner. The Exza owner is now pretty pleased with the 25person reservation for this saturday night. 25 that's a big number. Will we be able to let's say fill in even 20 seats?? So far Jason , Gabriel and Ahmad not coming. So that makes 22 out of the expected 25. Who will be next?? Who will be left standing?

Wow, it's only been like what, six months and here comes a reunion dinner. We must really love each other. Or maybe are just looking out for reasons to stuff ourselves with food and get fat to prepare for the professional world. Professionals have big tummies ;) No! None of that. It's just a dinner to have fun. Catch-up with 'old friends'. Who knows, maybe just after six months, some of us have gained 30kg, lost a leg, gone bald??? Six months is not too short!
